  • Edinburgh International Book Festival

    Acting as the Head of Site for the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Olivia will supported by overseeing the external site at the Edinburgh College of Art (2023) and the move to the festivals new home at the Edinburgh Futures Institute (2024).

    Reviewing and editing the design, supply chain, build, break and festival management, Olivia led the site team to create the best external space for the enjoyment of Book Festival visitors, sponsors and Authors alike.

    Working in collaboration with both internal and external teams, this exciting project will culminate in the delivery of the site for the 2023 and 2024 festivals.

  • Birmingham 2022

    City Readiness - Head of City Readiness Commonwealth Games 2022
    Birmingham City Council

    Head of City Readiness and advisor to Birmingham City Council, assisted the City Readiness Commonwealth Games team. Coordination and operational support for the Council workstreams including Traffic and Transport, Highways, C3 & Resilience, Regulations and Enforcement, Waste Management/Cleansing and City Dressing. Brought these departments together to support the Host City deliver the highly successful Commonwealth Games in 2022. Worked closely with the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee to deliver key venues and road events during the 11 day international sporting event.

  • Edinburgh Fringe Festival

    Head of Festivals, Festival Business Manager, responsible for the planning and overseeing multifaceted fringe venues - Pleasance Courtyard, Pleasance Dome and Gilded Balloon at Teviot Row. A mutli-million pound operation with full control of the P&L, a team of over 450 staff, bar and catering operation, high profile partnership development, site management, health and safety.

  • Borders Book Festival

    Festival Operations Manager for the Borders Book Festival, a highly reputable event in the literary world, with internationally recognised authors, performers of stage and screen performing. 33, 000 people across a 4-day greenfield festival; overall management and responsibility for all elements of the festival including site design, CDM management, infrastructure, staffing, H&S, partnership communication, traffic management, security, cross agency communications, build & break, festival delivery.

  • BBC at the Edinburgh Festival

    As Project, Site and Event Manager responsible for the 10-day site build, 26-day event delivery and the strike of the site in Edinburgh, on behalf of the BBC and DF Concerts and Events ltd. Responsibility for the site during the festival including production teams, health and safety, security, crowd control, partnership and stakeholder management, transport logistics of crew and high-profile guests.

  • The Great Run Company

    Site Manager delivering the site build/ break of the Great North Run, one of the largest running events in the UK hosting 59000 participants, broadcast live on the BBC. Two-week outdoor site build and one-week strike of site, overseeing all infrastructure construction, trackway, transport, plant, equipment and sponsor requirements.

  • DF Concerts and Events Ltd

    Manager supporting the event and production teams with large scale concerts and events including T in the Park, BBC at the Fringe, Download, stadium gigs, day to day box office and ticket management for concerts in Scotland. A number of other support roles having first worked with DF in 2002 running the box office and ticket management of over 200 shows and festivals.

  • Commonwealth Games 2014, Glasgow

    Venue Operations Manager, delivery of the 2014 Commonwealth Games marathon, time trial and road race cycling events for Glasgow 2014. Responsible for the safe operational planning and coordination of these high-profile sporting events, including route ops, traffic management, city operations, security, vehicle safety management, policing, course management, planning and logistics. Led the team who supported the success of the race days, whilst working with the Council network to maintain the city operation and function.

  • 2012 Olympics, London

    Operational delivery team who oversaw the transport network for the City of London at the TFL JOCC, Palestra Event Control Base. Worked with Transport For London to deliver event control elements including security and stewarding for the last mile areas in the Central London Zone.

  • Race for Life, Race 10k, Shine Glasgow, Cancer Research UK

    Race Director responsible for the organisation and delivery of Cancer Research UK’s mass participation outdoor events: ‘Race for Life’, 'Shine- overnight walking marathon, Race for Life 5k and their Run 10K events in Scotland, Northern Ireland and North England, ranging from 3000-18000 participants. Extensive Event Management skills developing highly complex event delivery schedule's, all event/ site logistics, operational planning, multi venue management strategies.
